Tree Surgery, Cheadle Hulme
Waitrose, Cheadle Hulme
As tree surgeons we are often asked to carry out maintenance to trees in public areas. At Waitrose in Cheadle Hulme there were a number of trees with branches growing low over parking areas; notably those spaces used by their disabled customers and customers with young children.
The procedure of removing the lowest branches is called “crown lifting”. Of course as a busy supermarket in the centre of Cheadle Hulme carrying out the work in a safe and controlled manner was crucial.
We consulted with Waitrose, Cheadle Hulme and ensured all the relevant Health & Safety considerations were in place to ensure minimum disruption to customers. Clear safety signs, cones, safety tape and high visibility clothing were used. The tree work was done in one day and the results were very successful as can be seen from our before and after photos!
