Cedar of Lebanon
These are some shots of a giant Cedar of Lebanon in Bowden. Unfortunatelty this tree had suffered much storm damage over the years including a massive branch breaking off in heavy snow which we removed in 2010.
After our inspection and following a discussion with the tree owners and the councils tree officer it was decided that the tree would need to be felled. Although situated in a garden many of the branches were over a private road and great care was required in its dismanteling.
At approximately 180 years old it was sad to see the tree go but safety had to be a priority. Hopefully these shots give an impression of what was involved.”
